9/23/05 10:12 pm - And life goes on...Where did I leave off? Let me see...weddings...birthdays...parties...f
Nope, too much has happened. I guess I'll have to sum it up. Here's two weeks of life in two hundred words or less: Hannah's birthday was on Thursday, the 15th of September. I had to work, but I took off early to come home and see my girl. She had to work that evening, but she cut out early too and we went out with some friends to drink alcohol and eat smelly food. It was fun. Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights were devoted 127.3% to the nuptual celebrations of Conrad McBean and his wife, world-famous director of the silver screen. Friday we went to Kings in Boston to bowl the night away and laugh at the girls at the bachelorete party across the room - who were all wearing cheap-looking t-shirts with the bride-to-be's face on them. I will never understand women. Saturday evening was the rehearsal dinner at the Beverly Depot Restaurant and Saloon! It was ok. I got to catch up with a few people that I hadn't seen in a lifetime or two. Sunday was the big day. The ceremony was in the rose garden at Lynch Park in Beverly. There were men in suits, women in dresses, little girls throwing flower petals gracefully (yet, somehow violently) at the ground...you know, all those things you expect at a wedding. That's about two-hundred words. I didn't even make it through one weekend. Oh well. The gist (geist?) of this week has been: I don't mind, though. It's worth it. I love my job and I love my friends. It's tough leading a double-life. Especially the whole vampire-during-the-day thing. In other news: Keep it real, out there in tomorrow-land. |
